About me: Hello, my name is Vivian Chen. I was born and raised in Taiwan, and I am currently a senior in public relations as an international student. I enjoy watching sitcoms and films in my free time. I am also digging into cooking recently. I love hanging out with my friends at a boba shop or studying with them at random places. My go-to playlist for studying is anything in lo-fi beat, but other than that, I often listen to k-pop.

Why EMPRESS? As a transfer who is new to UF and only has two years to explore, I am under a lot of stress. I am stressed about making new friends, networking, internships, extracurricular activities, graduation and more. However, as I was feeling so lost and clueless about how I should get involved and balance my life, I met the members in EMPRESS. They surround me with the sense of family since the first day we met. They have been guiding and comforting me since day one. That is why I appreciate them and want to become a part of the selfless and caring family. Especially when I heard that their principle is to value each person’s individuality, I felt very included and appreciate the love and support that I receive

Favorite EMPRESS memory? I love the weekly meetings. I enjoy listening to little cheerings and loving conversations that go on during the meetings. Every time when I am in a meeting, I feel happy just by sitting and listening to the people chat and shout out to one another.
