About Me: Hello there! My name is Destiny, and I go by she/her pronouns. I'm from Jacksonville, Florida, and I'm the eldest of four brothers. Despite the noisy household, I enjoy watching TV, reading, shopping, and starting art projects I never finish. My experience in Gainesville has been a memorable one; I'm grateful to have had countless opportunities, such as defining leadership roles and meeting extraordinary people. Why EMPRESS?: There's just something about the steadfast, fearless women who are a part of this group. As I went through the recruitment process, I remember feeling so certain that EMPRESS was the place for me; a place I could grow in, lean on and love hard. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but the confidence was contagious and the respect for one another was so evident. Reflecting on those initial feelings, I truly believe that I have a place here in EMPRESS and I write with such gratitude for all the joys this group continues to bring. It is with that same certainty that I knew I've made the right decision to be surrounded by and grow with these empowered women.
