EMPRESS

About me: A talent I am actually proud of is the fact that I am able to fall asleep in any condition: sitting, standing, eating, half standing, cooking, on the toilet... you name it, I’ve done it ;) I also like to throw paint on canvases with a brush, and draw people into vegetables (if that counts as a hobby). I sometimes (very occasionally) play the piano, and I have what Tiffany calls 'perfect pitch' if that’s actually a thing. I enjoy marinating various types foods, including radishes, bean sprouts, cabbages, pork, chicken, french fries, fish and whatever I can find. I did water polo and swimming for years once upon a time, but let's not recall that. My favorite movie is Forrest Gump, and I would claim Harry Potter as my favorite movie series (and proudly announce that I’m a Gryffindor). I love GoT although I haven't watched the finale at the moment because I believe I am not mentally prepared YET, I will be one day. Please, no spoilers.

Why EMPRESS? I joined EMPRESS because I cherish what it stands for. Freshman me was clueless, lost, but had big dreams. I wanted to find a place where I could develop my leadership skills and at the same time build something meaningful with strong women. I discovered EMPRESS, which is a warm cozy home where I not only can lean and rest on, but also grow both personally and professionally.

Favorite EMPRESS memory: Traveling to Georgia with Adrie, my Big Hennifer, and my lovely co-mentee Julio in Spring break of 2018 for three days; the maternal food-baby photo shots still make me wheeze.
