About me: I'm your typical small-town girl looking for big adventures in life. I'm an INFJ and a Scorpio, so I'm pretty intense and sensitive, but in a good way. I love creating things in the form of art and baked goods. I'm usually quiet and reserved, but once I open up, I'm always down for anything, ranging from crazy late-night adventures to casual study sessions. When I’m not doing EMPRESS things, you can find me exploring local restaurants or volunteering. I love eating good food and taking long naps. If you need weird music or graphic novel recommendations, I’m your girl. I'm very passionate about psychology and I'm hoping to help de-stigmatize mental illness and, one day, become a clinical social worker/mental health counselor. A fun fact of mine is that I know how to read tarot cards, so hit me up if you want your fortune told. I've been a home-body my whole life, so I would really love to travel the world some day and figure out my place in the universe.

Why EMPRESS? Before coming to college, I was very meek and timid. I didn't really have many opportunities to express my identity or be ambitious and challenge myself. Since then, I've had a strong desire to become the person I've always wanted to be: someone who is ambitious, not afraid to take risks, and actually reaches the goals she set out for herself. I became involved in organizations and clubs, which has really helped me in finding meaning in my life, but it still didn't feel like enough. That's when I discovered EMPRESS, where I felt like I could actually become a part of something so much bigger than myself. I saw a group that heavily encourages individualism, empowerment, and, most importantly, sisterhood. Everything that EMPRESS stands for is exactly what I strive for in my life, and I wanted to be able to proudly associate myself with something as impacting as that.
