About me: I was born in Vietnam and first came to the US when I was 2 and a half. Being so little, I don’t remember much, but I know it was a rough time for my family. I’m more than blessed to be where I am now because of them and keep learning from them. They inspire me to keep moving forward and working hard. I enjoy spending lots of time with my family (including my cat Penny^-^), playing tennis, cooking/baking, hiking, paddle boarding, painting, and binging kdramas/sitcoms/foodie shows. I also love learning new cooking skills and substituting ingredients to make recipes healthier. I’m a big foodie and am willing to try any foods unless I’m allergic. Some of my favorite vietnamese dishes and desserts are goi cuon, banh xeo, banh bo nuong, and banh khoai mi nuong.

Rapid Fire Favorites:  Tennis, Trader Joe’s, The Good Place, CLOY, The Book Thief, green tea, giraffes, acoustic/r&b music, Pusheen

Why EMPRESS? Why I joined EMPRESS: I joined EMPRESS because of their emphasis on mental health and genuine support on expressing one's individuality. EMPRESS made me feel very welcomed and a part of something bigger that I could grow and learn from on a personal and professional level. EMPRESS encouraged me to be who I am and to continue to strive for my aspirations. I’ve learned so much from my peers and myself which motivates me to keep challenging myself. I’m truly thankful to be surrounded by such amazing and supportive women and I can’t wait to continue growing with them.

Favorite EMPRESS memory? I remember recruitment week being the highlight of my day because of how much energy and enthusiasm everyone had. Everyone was so welcoming and it made school feel more like home. One of my favorite moments was when we bonded and shared lots of laughs while struggling to fold origami animals.
