EMPRESS

About me: I'm the girl that's down to get Taco Bell & have deep talks in a parked car at 3 am. I put my whole heart into the things and people I'm passionate about. I love Mexican food and pho more than I love life and I guess I'd say most people think I have an RBF... but when they get to know me, they realize that I'm actually a goofy & loveable baby that just wants to be friends!! I love rollercoasters, jet skiing, hiking, go-karting, napping, singing, and spending quality time with friends, and my favorite shows currently consist of One Tree Hill and New Girl. Also, my love languages are words of affirmation and quality time and I got that INFJ personality type :,)

Why EMPRESS? Coming into college, I just wanted to find a place where I could be authentic. My high school was a very different environment because there were only so many people to get to know... 206 to be exact. UF, however, is vast and there are so many organizations to join and people to meet. In Spring 2019, I decided it was time to put myself out there and strive for bigger things. I desired to find people I could call home. From the moment I entered my first recruitment event, the flood of friendly faces and sincere interest in what I had to offer as a person, automatically drew my interest in them. Since joining, I have seen myself grow, little-by-little, into the woman I've always wanted to be. I've continued to do things that scare me and have established a greater sense of self. EMPRESS gave me the freedom to unapologetically be who I am, while also providing a common goal to strive for and a motivational, empowering sisterhood to help me through the best and worst of times.

Favorite EMPRESS memory? My favorite EMPRESS memory was DIY kbbq night with some of da gorls after a very sad and stressful week c: Even when things are going terribly, they're always there.
