EMPRESS

About me: Hello hello! I’m Megan, I’m a second-year sociology and sustainability studies double major, though if money wasn’t a thing I’d definitely be happy serenading cows in a random city with a part time job as a florist or working in a coffee shop. I’ve gone through many phases in my 19 years, like an emo phase, a one direction phase (it was really a lifestyle), and an artsy fartsy phase so I’d say I’ve had like 5 different personalities by now LOL. I’m super passionate about social issues, the environment, and maybe Harry Styles a little bit. In my free time I like to explore nature trails, stargaze, journal, paint, watch sunsets, and find new coffee shops, so if you ever want a pal to do that with just lmk!

Why EMPRESS? One of my favorite things in life are unexpected, but treasured surprises. That’s EMPRESS for me. I came to a recruitment event because of a friend’s recommendation, but continued coming because of the continual warmth and welcoming atmosphere I saw at each event. EMPRESS has quickly become a group of hardworking, kind, thoughtful, and loving womxn I am proud to call a family, and I cherish every single moment I have with them. They love me unconditionally and continue to teach me how to love my genuine self more and love others better, and I am so happy I have found my space on campus with these girls. I value every second I’ve had with them so far, and cannot be more excited for what’s to come in the future. I know I’ll always keep my memories with them safe in my heart till I’m old and my bones are achey!
