About me: Hi, I'm Isabel and I'm from Miami, Florida! I love finding new places to eat around town and winding down with cooking a meal for myself. I still have lots to learn about myself but some things I am passionate about are music, people, and the different perspectives of love. In the future, I want to become a family medicine physician in order to emphasize preventative health care and provide my practice to underserved populations. I aspire to become a person that is more confident in their decisions, as I think building that sense of trust within myself is important to me.

Rapid fire favorites: New Girl, Survivor, The Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Thai Tea with Boba, Traveling

Why EMPRESS?: I joined EMPRESS in order to act upon ways I could practice reciprocating energy and love I experience in my life. From professional development, to supporting our philanthropy and volunteering initiatives, to having discussions on the value of our personal relationships and goals, EMPRESS and the people in it provided a safe place for me to express myself authentically. I especially love how we create strength through sisterhood without sacrificing our own individuality. I'm super grateful for candid moments where the members show how they demonstrate EMPRESS's pillars and it truly inspires me to grow into the best version of myself everyday. I believe that EMPRESS has fostered my ideas about love for others as an action that is meant to be intentional and appreciated alongside others.

Favorite EMPRESS memory: There was a night in Fall 2022 where me and some of the F21 (pronounced eff-two-one heh) went out to eat Satch Squared pizza at the Fourth Ave Food Park. It was after a long 12-hour shift at the hospital and I was really hungry and exhausted. Seeing the smiles that the girls had on their faces instantly made me feel better especially with me being inactive that semester and still feeling I was loved and supported. I was really happy to be with them even though I took a semi-nap on a bench while they took 0.5 pictures of me (lol). They bring out the best in me and continually inspire me to show love and care to myself while reminding me that life is truly meant to be loved and appreciated with the ones you love by your side. It reminded me that I want to shower them and all the other members with love each and everyday <3
